Port Lucaya is a fun, good and tropical hotel. Visited: March 2003

I stayed here on spirng break last month. I really liked the hotel. It had a wonderful location and never once did I feel unsafe. The pool was huge and there were also other things to do around the pool area. The beach was right across the street and we just laid out at the Our Lucaya resort every day! I would definitely stay here again due to the great rates and location!

My sister and my stay here was excellent. Okay, I have stayed at more elegant hotels, but the staff at Port Lucaya has to be among the most efficient, friendly and dedicated I have experienced to date. The resort is immaculate and beautifully kept, rooms cleaned thoroughly, requests carried out promptly and staff was just helpful and lovely.

The BBQ was a popular event every day, all done with a fabulous air of "welcome to our BBQ party." I must admit that we did not eat in the hotel restaurant, because of the choice offered in the marketplace - Chinese, Greek, Local, Fish, International, French, etc. When we visited the resort was quiet, but a party atmosphere was created every night in Count Basie Square and the few of us that were there loved it. Don’t worry about being kept awake by the loud music because the band is finished by midnight.

Expect to meet some very interesting people along with the usual fab beaches, great watersports, golf courses (if you must), kayaking, Dolphin Experience, fishing, etc.

It’s an excellent value at the perfect pace (slow down man, this is the islands), but don’t spend all your time by the pool. Enjoy.
