Questions?
Q. When will my order be shipped?
A. All orders are filled and shipped by priority mail the next day
after your order is received
Q. Does a couple have to be husband and wife?
A. Since the hotel is based on double occupancy, a couple can be
any combination of two
persons. At least one person is at least 18 years of age.
Some hotels require you to be
21 or older.
Q. What if I can't take my vacation on the date
scheduled? May I get a refund?
A. You may reschedule your vacation. You have one whole year
(or longer) to
take your vacation.
Or one of your friends or relatives can use it. It is
fully transferable. There are No refunds
Q. What if my vacation is booked, and there is a
hurricane warning?
A. The cruise lines and hotels are very alert regarding impending
hurricanes. The ship simply
would not go out- or the ship will go in
the opposite direction of the hurricane. Your vacation
would be
rescheduled for another time convenient for you.
Q. We wish to extend our vacation longer than the
days on the package. What is the cost?
A. You may extend your vacation extra days. The cost is
approximately $59.00 per extra night.
The price will depend on the seasonal
availability. This question can be answered by the
travel agent in our home office when making your
reservations.
Q. We want to take our vacation next week or in a
couple of weeks. Is this possible?
A. NO. We try to accommodate people on their exact chosen
dates of travel. Example:
Say your chosen date is November 21, because that's the date
you're getting married.
November 21 may or may not be available. However, November 22 or
November 25 may
be available. The earlier you get your reservations in, the more likely you will
receive your
chosen dates. If everyone chooses the 4th of July or Christmas (high demand times), the
persons applying first will receive that date. The cruise line and hotel are usually booked
up 45 days in
advance. We give you 15 months to take your vacation. Most people can
find a long
weekend or another time they can go. If you have only one specific date during
the whole year that you
can travel, please contact another travel agent. Most of them will
be happy to accommodate you.
Q. May I take children? If so what is the
cost?
A. Most packages allow you to take children. The cost will
vary with each package. The
reservation desk can best answer this.
Q. Restaurant Prices: Grand Bahama Island
has a wide variety of restaurants. Prices vary
accordingly. Mexican restaurants are still
very reasonable.
Q. Tipping: Some restaurants may automatically include a 15
percent gratuity to food &
beverage checks. Ask if you're not sure.
Q. Electricity: 120 Volt, 60 cycle AC. Standard
North American hair dryers, shavers &
other appliances.
Q. Currency: The Bahamian dollar is freely interchangeable
with the U.S. dollar. Banks and
hotels can change currencies at prevailing rates.
Mexico uses Pesos, but the American
dollar is accepted everywhere.
Q. Language: English is our language, although perhaps more
British than American. Most
Mexicans in the tourist areas speak English fluently.
Q. Attire: A casual and informal
spring/summer wardrobe is appropriate for day and evening.
Shorts, slacks,
jeans and swimwear are perfect during the day. If
you want to dress up in
the evening, you won't be out of place in the casinos and the more elegant restaurants and
nightspots.
Q. Weather: Any time of year, the great
weather is here. Grand Bahama enjoys sub-tropical
weather, with
temperatures seldom dropping below 60 degrees or rising
above 90 degrees.
Mexico and Hawaii are known for their mild
climates.
